NORTH SCALIGER COAST

The history and charm of the Venetian coast

Castello di Torri del Benaco.jpg

On the Veneto side north of Lake Garda you can admire the history of Scaliger supremacy thanks to the remains of various fortresses and castles that follow the north lake coast, starting from TORRI DEL BENACO

A very small fishing village with a romantic atmosphere, Torri del Benaco is the only village on the Veronese shore to have preserved the structure of a traditional lemon house, an ancient lemon garden still productive close to the castle walls. Navigating to the north is BRENZONE which is made up of 6 villages: Castelletto , Magugnano, Marniga, Porto, Castello and Assenza. Its old houses that extend east of the Gardesana give a touch of style to the town

until you get to

MALCESINE

which is located at the foot of the most important mountain range of the lake, Monte Baldo.

Lying under the Scaliger Castle, which has dominated it for seven hundred years, it is a small jewel of medieval layout crossed by a maze of alleys where it is nice to get lost and be surprised by completely unexpected views. Among the most popular tourist destinations of Garda, today Malcesine pleasantly combines its urban routes with a rich sequence of shops and shops.
